HISTORY
of the original Holly Beach Train Depot

Holly Beach City was the original name of the middle section of the island known as 5 Mile Beach. It was incorporated in 1884 and consolidated with the Borough of Wildwood to form the City of Wildwood in 1912. The original Holly Beach Train Depot was located one block west of our store. Later, it was the Andrew Avenue Station.

For more information on the history of trains in Wildwood, go to our Museum site at www.wildwoodhistoricalmuseum.com.

Holly Beach Train Depot Store has been open since 1994. It was founded and is operated by train fanatic Larry Lillo. Larry is a career firefighter with the City of Wildwood Fire Department. Our store has a large "O" layout and an "MTH-DCS" Demonstration layout in operation. We are PROUD to be Cape May County's only "MTH Authorized Service Center", offering complete computerized analysis and service for your Proto1, LocoSound and ProtoSound2 motive power, as well as your Digital Command System DCS, TIU and AIU components.
